When it comes to consumer finance, banks are so pre-2007. With more alternatives appearing, the peer-to-peer lending market is deepening, and the securitization market is standing up and taking notice. And as upstarts like SoFi knock at Wall Street’s doors, the future is looking a bit like the past. Will Caiger-Smith reports.
