Panelists forecasted managed rated equity collateralized debt obligation tranches will appear in a matter of months as the latest twist on newly popular equity structures. Static investment-grade rated equity deals have taken off as real money investors seek access to higher yielding CDO tranches (DW, 8/25). Since last year, panelists said, value has squeezed down the capital structure from super senior tranches to equity tranches, giving way to "funky" equity structures packaged for a variety of investors.
