Eastern banks still troubled as Bank of Moscow repays
Bank of Moscow has repaid in full a $400m syndicated loan that fell due on Monday, in the latest sign that eastern European financial institutions are struggling to refinance their external debt. Bank of Moscow sent its lenders a request last month for a $300m 18 month facility, which would have partly been used to replace the $400m deal.
