ISM grows from Jefferies, Lehman roots

ISM Capital was founded as an emerging market merchant bank in late 2008. Cliff Siegel, previously chief executive of Jefferies International and Edward Males, who was previously a managing director and head of Indian banking for Jefferies & Co, established the bank with a focus on emerging markets, client-driven growth capital and structured finance.
