Three professionals from distinct corners of the fixed-income market will be inducted into the Fixed-Income Analysts Society Hall of Fame later this fall. The three are: Patricia Cook, executive v.p. of investments at Freddie Mac; Robert Jarrow, professor of finance and economics at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management; and Dexter Senft, managing director and head of fixed-income electronic trading at Lehman Brothers. The induction will take place on Nov. 10 and will be FIASI's 10th annual hall of fame ceremony.

Diane Vazza, president of FIASI and managing director of global fixed-income research at Standard & Poor's, said the three are being recognized for specific contributions to fixed-income. She highlighted Jarrow's work in creating risk-management models, Senft's role in developing collateralized-mortgage obligations and Cook's experience with several buy-siders as impressive achievements. Cook will be just the second female inducted; the first was Eunice Reich-Berman, one of FIASI's founders, who was inducted following her death in 2001. Last year's inductees were the late Leo O'Neill, former president of Standard & Poor's, and Jack Malvey, managing director and chief global fixed-income strategist at Lehman.
