HSBC has hired Michael Ice, a longtime fixed-income veteran who has held various positions across Wall Street. Ice will join HSBC as a managing director in structured credit product sales in New York and will report to Rick Ziwot, global head of structured products, said Juanita Gutierrez, spokesman for HSBC. Ice could not be reached and it could not be determined when he starts in his new role.
Ice has been out of the market for about six months since he left Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein last autumn as managing director and head of the firm's financial institutions derivatives group. Prior to that, he held positions as head of interest-rate and credit derivatives sales at UBS and before that he was global head of fixed income and derivatives at Rabobank.
