CCMP, Ontario Teachers win NZ Yellow Pages

Private equity firm CCMP Capital Asia and a unit of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan have won the hotly contested auction for New Zealand’s Yellow Pages, being spun off by Telecom New Zealand.

The NZ$2.24bn ($1.6bn) price tag will be supported by NZ$1.2bn of senior debt and NZ$300m of subordinated debt arranged by mandated lead arrangers ABN Amro, Barclays Capital, Calyon and Deutsche Bank.

There is already a bridge loan in place that is likely to be taken out through subordinated debt ...
