Tiger Airways seals aircraft loan ahead of Singapore IPO

Tiger Airways, the Singaporean low-cost airline, is set to seal its first export credit agency-backed financing this week as it prepares for its stock exchange listing.

France’s Coface is backing Tiger’s purchase of two new Airbus A320 aircraft in a deal arranged by mandated lead arranger Standard Chartered.

It is the first facility backed by Coface structured in Singapore dollars, although the payment for the planes will be made in US
dollars.
