Barclays loses financial sponsor head as Asian deals dry up

Barclays Capital’s head of sponsor coverage for Asia Pacific left the bank on Wednesday in the latest senior departure from Asia’s battered leveraged finance market.

Alan Hirakawa has left after two years at Barclays in the latest senior departure from Asia’s battered leveraged finance market. He joined in May 2007 as head of leveraged finance for Asia Pacific from Citi, replacing Alan Turner, who relocated to London earlier that year.
