Italy innovates with Eu5bn of new floating rate asset class
The Republic of Italy this week introduced a new floating rate nominal bond class, called CCTs-Eu, which will gradually replace the borrower’s traditional FRNs, namely CCTs. At the same time the issuer provided the market with the first big liquid European sovereign bond to be issued since April.
