LMA elects Fitzgerald as chairman
Ian Fitzgerald has been elected to chairman of the Loan Market Association, a post which has been vacant throughout 2009. Fitzgerald, head of loan syndicate at Lloyds Banking Group, was elected last Thursday to replace David Slade, who stepped down from the European loan market’s trade body in January.
The LMA also decided to increase the number of vice chairmen from two to four. Richard Basham of Citi, Deutsche Bank’s Nick Jansa and Richard Munn of Oak Hill Advisors were elected alongside the existing vice chairman, David Fewtrell of HSBC.
