German media firm signs syndicated debut

Südwestedeutsche Medien Holding, a German newspaper firm, has agreed its first syndicated loan and will use it to replace Schuldscheine and bilateral facilities.

LBBW and UniCredit coordinated the Eu150m three year facility as bookrunners and mandated lead arrangers.

Both existing lenders and a targeted group of new banks were invited to join the deal, and although it was oversubscribed during syndication it was not increased.
