Bharti extends syndication deadline for $7.5bn facility

Bharti Airtel has pushed back the deadline for commitments on its $7.5bn loan by two weeks, responding to requests from bankers who said they needed more time to push the deal through their credit committees.

The borrower has extended the deadline for commitments from September 13 to the end of the month. Between “two and three dozen” banks are said to be considering the deal and seeking approval from their credit committees, with the first commitments expected to come in towards the end ...
