High yield push raises Eu1.8bn this week

More than Eu1.8bn of paper was priced in the high yield bond market this week with Eu1.5bn coming on Thursday alone as companies took advantage of what bankers called favourable market conditions to refinance debt.

On Thursday, Canadian aircraft and train maker Bombardier turned to Europe for a Eu780m 10-1/2 year bond while Ziggo, a private equity-backed Dutch telecoms firm increased the size of its bond offer by Eu250m to raise Eu750m.

On Wednesday French investment fund Wendel raised Eu300m tapping an existing issue. ...
