JPMorgan bolsters China team with Linklaters hire
JPMorgan has hired a senior lawyer from Linklaters to run its Chinese business, naming Zili Shao chairman and chief executive in a move that fills a slot left by the departure of Charles Li earlier this year.
Shao, managing partner of Linklaters’ Asia business and an 11-year veteran of the country’s financial markets, takes the chair from Li, who left JPMorgan in October to become chief executive of the Hong Kong stock exchange. The chief executive role was vacant.
