Integra buys Thüga with Eu850m club loan

Integra Energie, a consortium of German municipal utilities, has raised Eu850m through a club loan to part fund a deal to acquire another network of electricity and gas providers from sector heavyweight E.On.

The Eu2.9bn takeover was finalised at the end of last month and should be completed before the end of the year.

The acquired firm, Thüga, owns minority stakes in around 100 municipal utilities across Germany, most of which are electricity or gas providers.
