Garanti gets Eu50m EBRD loan for SME lending

Turkey’s Garanti Bankasi signed a Eu50m EBRD loan last week to fund small and medium-sized businesses operating in rural parts of the country.

The facility is split between a Eu23.4m five year piece provided by the EBRD and a Eu26.6m three and one year commercial bank tranche. The mandated lead arrangers for the commercial debt were AKA Bank and Dutch development agency FMO.
