HSBC agrees $300m bilateral loan for China’s Agile Property

Agile Property Holdings, the Chinese developer, has signed a $150m bilateral facility from HSBC in the second leg of its financing following a $300m high yield issue in early November.

The three year facility will not be syndicated, said one banker close to the transaction.

Asia’s loan bankers expressed surprise that the deal would not be sold down, given the size of HSBC’s commitment. One, however, described Agile as "a long-standing customer of HSBC".
