Kay named as StanChart’s head of leveraged syndications

Standard Chartered has hired Peter Kay to a newly-created position as head of leveraged finance syndicate, as the bank continues an aggressive hiring spree to build up its capital markets business.

Kay will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Philip Cracknell, global head of syndications.

Kay will handle specialised syndication functions as well as help originate deals alongside the bank’s acquisition finance team.
