Chinese companies scramble to list in US

A swathe of Chinese companies is due to list in the US this week as issuers take advantage of next day listing rules to get stocks trading before the Christmas break — and give the market a taste of how they will perform.

“Because stocks list the day after pricing their IPOs, issuers can push the pricing out a bit further and still get some good visibility before 2011 starts,” said one syndicate banker.
