Commerz scores Eu4.6bn CoMens success

Commerzbank exceeded plans and expectations as it completed the first step of its Eu11bn capital raising plan on Thursday after pricing the deal to maximise new investor participation.

It raised Eu4.6bn from the sale to investors of quasi-equity conditional mandatory exchangeable notes (CoMens), pricing well within guidance. A Eu3.625bn rights issue will follow in May.
