Crédit Agricole capital markets revenues rebound in Q1 2011
Crédit Agricole’s capital markets and investment banking division reported revenues of Eu878m for its first quarter for this year, up from $812m last year and over Eu200m higher than the third and fourth quarters of last year.
The revenues were driven by Eu528m of fixed income
earnings a 132% increase from last quarter, and only Eu4m lower year on year
and Eu395m of equities earnings.
Losses from a separate portfolio of toxic assets
were reduced to almost a break-even point of minus Eu30m, with only minus
