Indonesia heads to Middle East to pitch bond

Funding officials at the Republic of Indonesia will travel to the Middle East at the weekend, building demand for an Islamic bond issue that the sovereign has been mulling for the last two months.

Citi, HSBC and Standard Chartered are arranging the meetings, and will take Indonesian government officials to meet investors in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh and Doha. The meetings will finish on Tuesday and could lead to a bond as early as next week, although bankers have not told investors ...
