New hybrid head as RBS renews structuring push
Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Citi’s AJ Davidson to head its hybrid capital team, in an effort to increase its presence in that business. The team focuses on banks and insurers, but it also has public sector and corporate borrowers in its sights.
Davidson joined RBS in mid-January as managing director and head of hybrid capital, with responsibility for EMEA and Asia Pacific. He comes from Citis new products group, where he had been director since joining the bank in March 2010 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
