Beach goes for double with CB, rights issue

Australian mining company Beach Energy has raised A$150m ($157.3m) from a convertible bond as part of a A$345m dual fund raising plan. The bond priced on Tuesday night, and was launched the same time as a A$195m rights issue, which has not yet closed.

The convertible bond priced in the middle of its guidance and was multiple times covered by traditional convertible bond buyers and some existing shareholders looking to take advantage of the company’s growth prospects, according to a banker close to the deal.
