Indonesia headed for record global bond supply in 2012
Indonesian borrowers could set a record for international bond issuance from the country this year, as local companies attempt to take advantage of the sovereign’s newly-won investment grade status and investors’ desire to diversify into new Asian markets.
There has already been around $6.4bn of issuance from the country since the start of year almost 20 times more than in the same period in 2011. And bankers think there could be plenty more to come.
