Nomura hires Meurer to run Australia investment bank

The firm has appointed veteran Peter Meurer as chairman of its investment banking business in Australia. This continues its expansion in what it regards as a growth market, having hired three Australian bankers in August.

Nomura has continued its expansion by naming veteran banker Peter Meurer as its Australia investment banking chairman.

Meurer has more than 30 years’ experience in investment banking and stock broking and was previously vice-chairman of Citi’s Australian business.
