The gradual normalisation of the world economy is generating a significant Asian upturn, and private equity firms from across the globe are increasingly being drawn to portfolio companies in the region, writes Mergermarket.

It seems that private equity firms from across the globe are increasingly being drawn to Asian portfolio companies.

So much so in fact that last week, the acquisitions of Asian targets equaled the number of buys in Europe by volume and surpassed it in terms of deal values.
