McLane leaves Morgan Stanley for Citi FIG and CIB
Citi has hired Willard McLane, a veteran coverage banker from Morgan Stanley, to take over its financial institutions team in Asia Pacific and to run corporate and investment banking in the Asean region.
McLane was head of the Asia Pacific financial institutions group at Morgan Stanley, leading a team of bankers in 13 countries and working on bank acquisitions, selldowns and IPOs, including the listings of Agricultural Bank of China and AIA, both of which were worth more than $20bn.
