Investors offered rare opportunities as Motor, Copernic books open

ABS investors were presented with rare offerings on Tuesday, with books open for French consumer-financed backed issue, Copernic 2012-1, and for the first ever 144A UK auto deal, Motor 2012-1.

Santander Consumer UK’s floating and fixed rate 144A auto ABS has earned a “great deal of interest” from US investors, according to bankers on the deal. The Motor 2012-1 offering is the first UK auto deal to be sold in 144A format.
