Corporate, FIG bond boom set to roll into next week as deal pipeline swells
Bankers are looking forward to another heavy burst of corporate and financial institution bond issuance on Monday and Tuesday, after a remarkable week in which investors poured cash into the market, particularly lifting peripheral European bonds and weaker credits, write Jon Hay and Katie Llanos-Small.
European investment grade firms raised 9bn in 12 core currency Eurobonds including 2.4bn from Ireland, Italy and Spain, while four high yield issuers extracted 1.3bn.
