Bakrie link won’t stop EMP bond, say analysts
Indonesian oil and gas company Energi Mega Persada is on a long roadshow to pitch an international bond, attempting to attract demand amid widespread headlines about one of its shareholders, Bakrie Group. But questions over Bakrie will not hurt its chances of finding demand, bankers and analysts think.
Energi Mega plans to debut in the global bond market, at its second attempt, after calling off a deal two years ago. It wants to sell around $570m of five year non-call three bonds, and started meeting investors to pitch the deal on Monday.
