Fine wine, great service — and ungodly shots
It is often quite a task persuading the lovely TaiTai to go out for drinks. It involves all sorts of bribery and the promise of the swankiest locations Hong Kong has to offer. As lively as my dear wife is, she is not actually too fond of drinking in the usual Hong Kong style — that is to say, drinking to excess.
But last night I succeeded when I told her that two good friends of mine from the banking industry including one rather feisty and high-powered lady TaiTai has met before had asked us out to drinks at Hong Kongs top-end Armani/Privé bar.
