BarCap shutters exotic asset liability team

The British investment bank has closed down its exotics asset liability management desk in Asia. It is understood two out of the team of five were let go while the other three were shifted to other departments.

Barclays Capital has closed down its Asian financial institution solutions group (FIS), a five-person team focused on providing exotic asset liability management and solvency products to clients, asiamoney.com can exclusively reveal. The desk is understood to have shuttered about two weeks ago.
