Focus loan attracts $300m in senior from five lenders

Five banks have joined Focus Media’s $1.525bn leveraged buyout loan, giving the company $300m of commitments in senior syndication. The bookrunners hope to bring in a few more lenders next week.

Bank of Taiwan committed $75m, Mega International Commercial Bank pitched in with $50m, and Taiwan International Bank committed $75m, according to loans bankers close to the deal.

These three banks were followed by a Taiwanese lender and a European bank, giving the company $300m of commitments in syndication ...
