StanChart ramps up Asia sales, FIG coverage

Standard Chartered has been on a hiring spree this week. Alvaro Patron is joining from Citigroup as head of global corporate sales, financial markets and Petter Sternby has also joined as head of southeast Asia financial institutions strategic coverage, from Nomura.

Sumit Choudhary has also been appointed head of emerging companies research for India.

Patron, who will be based in Singapore, will report to Christian Wait, the global head of sales, according to a statement issued on April 24.
