E.C. Approves Spanish Aid

The European Commission has approved EUR4.5 billion ($5.62 billion) in aid to Spain and a EUR19 billion ($23.64 billion) guarantee for BFA Group and its lender Bankia, on condition that the country provide an acceptable restructuring plan for the bank within six months.
