AU Optronics nets $50m from Lextar stake sale
AU Optronics returned to the equity markets for more fundraising this week, less than a month after issuing new American depositary receipts. This time the company sold down its stake in Lextar Electronics Corp to raise $50m.
The 48.8m shares were put up by the companys investment arm Ronly Venture Investment and represented nearly 10% of the companys shares and 20% of its free float.
Sole bookrunner Barclays came out with a range of NT$32.65 ($1.09) to NT$31.02 on May 24 a discount of 5%-6%
