AirAsia X IPO takes off for $300m
AirAsia X has finally launched its long anticipated IPO which could raise the airline around $300m. However, dealers have raised eyebrows at the airline’s decision to offer free flight tickets to any retail investors who buy shares.
The company started investor education on Monday for a deal that is estimated at between $250m and $300m. The airline is putting 790,123,500 shares up for sale, with 68.1% assigned to institutional investors and 31.9% set aside for retail investors.
