Yankee Bonds On The Rise
Foreign issuance of U.S. dollar-denominated debt has risen beyond $620 billion year-to-date, up 11% for the same period in 2011, according to Dealogic. The increase in so-called “Yankee” bond issuance is attributed to broad liquidity and investor demand in the U.S. markets, according to the Financial Times.
