CDS Changes Floated To Correct Flaws
A research paper authored by Darrell Duffie, a finance professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a student has proposed changes to credit default swaps after identifying a flaw in the design of current CDS contracts that would result in only a small fraction of bondholder losses being covered in a restructuring of sovereign debt.
