JPM gets new asset management head in Brazil

Vital Menezes has been named as CEO of JP Morgan’s investment management business in Brazil, replacing Carlos Salamonde who left this week after two years in the job.

Menezes, who will begin the role on July 1, had been a partner at Gavea Investimentos since 2011. JP Morgan Asset Management acquired a majority stake in Rio de Janeiro-based Gavea in 2010.
