Danske goes to London to bring Nordic fight to internationals
Life as a Nordic ECM banker has been tough in recent years, with already limited supply tending to be poached by international investment banks. But with Danske Bank hiring three new members of its corporate finance team that are set to join in October and work from London, it is hoping to win mandates back from the international banks that have dominated business.
Jens Plenov will join Danske as its global head of equity
capital markets, from SEB, at the beginning of October. His colleague Niels Erik
Nielsen will join as a vice president in the ECM team, and Christian
Blinkenberg is joining Danske as a director in its corporate finance
department, from Goldman Sachs.
