It has been the busiest ever August week for Latin America bond issuers, with deals from Uruguay, Codelco, Banco Costa Rica, Cemex and Playa Resorts. And there is more to come later in the month, with Chilean corporates Colbun and Telefónica Móviles Chile on roadshows this week.
The LatAm pipeline that built up through two months of inactivity is clearing as issuers see a window with no likely US Treasury-sensitive data and before markets in the Americas slow down in mid-August.
