Garanti opens leu MTN account, NBAD grabs CP
Garanti Bank has debuted in an emerging market currency for the second time this month, while National Bank of Abu Dhabi added to a record breaking year of euro commercial paper issuance with sterling and dollar deals.
HSBC placed a L12m ($3.6m) five year note for Garanti on September 27. It pays a coupon of 6% but the issue price was not disclosed. It is the first privately placed medium term note in Romanian leu from a Turkish issuer, according to Dealogic.
