Return of the Macq: Macquarie Group ends two year absence
Australia’s Macquarie Group is making its first appearance in US dollar bonds for nearly two years, after launching a five year deal on Monday, November 25. It is likely to be one of just a handful of dollar bonds this week as the Thanksgiving holiday keeps markets quiet.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch, HSBC, JP Morgan and Macquarie USA opened books with initial price guidance of Treasuries + 180bp. Macquarie Group last issued in January 2011, pricing a $750m 6.25% 2021 deal via Barclays Citi, Goldman Sachs.
