Turkey's AsyaPort borrows $267.6m for new container terminal

AsyaPort, a Turkish trans-shipment container port, is raising loans totalling $267.6m to finance the development of a new container terminal.

Three separate loans will back the construction of the terminal in the town of Barbaros, west of Istanbul. The EBRD will provide $92m, the International Finance Corp $69m and Türkiye Iş Bankası $106.6m.

The new terminal will enable AsyaPort to accommodate ships with capacities of up to 18,000 ...
