Ramadan delays loan deals in Middle East
Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting which began on May 26, has caused delays to loan deals that were expected to close this week in the Middle East, according to bankers in the region.
Aster DM healthcare, a UAE based healthcare provider, was looking to close a $295m syndicated loan deal led by India’s Axis Bank this week but is having to postpone until the first week of July.
