HSBC promotes 14 Asia staff to MD

HSBC has elevated 14 Asia-based staff from its global banking and markets (GBM) division to managing director, part of a global round of promotions, according to an internal memo seen by GlobalCapital Asia.

The lender made 760 promotions across the GBM business for 2017 — 46 of which have been to managing director, according to the memo signed by Samir Assaf, HSBC’s chief executive of GBM.
