Investors go on $20bn shopping spree for D-Mart listing
Avenue Supermarts upended the Indian equity capital market with its IPO, pricing the Rp18.7bn ($281m) deal at the top of expectations after receiving $20bn in orders.
The owner of the supermarket chain D-Mart, which offered 63.1m primary shares at Rp295-Rp299 apiece, saw an explosion of demand on the final day of bookbuilding last Friday, when the trade was covered more than 100 times over.
